[Women's Outdoor Track & Field] Tigers nice start in first track and field meetPublished by
Georgetown College women's track and field got the season started this past weekend by traveling to Transylvania's Pioneer Invitational. The women just had three competitors tally points, but it was enough for the Tigers to finish seventh out of 10. Tayler Godar started her attempt to get back to a second straight track and field national meet by winning the 800-meter and 1,500-meter runs. The junior bested both fields by nearly four seconds, taking the 800 in two minutes, 21 seconds and nine one-hundredths of a second. She finished the 1,500-meter run in 4:57.96.
