[Women's Outdoor Track & Field] Tigers making strides, finish fifth in conference meetPublished by
Georgetown College women's track and field team took another stride forward this past weekend. The women finished fifth with 120 points, seven behind third place University or Rio Grande, in the Mid-South Conference Championships. The Tigers finished seventh out of eight teams a year ago and just managed 73 points. "We had a multitude of athletes scoring and were even able to pick up several scoring spots in a couple of events," said GC coach Todd McDaniel. "This was a good weekend and a good test against a lot of top competition. We have two meets left to work on qualifying standards and trying to make the national meet."
