Williamsburg, KY – Samuel Beal (SR/Beavercreek, OH) earned his first NAIA Runner of the Week award as released by the NAIA today after his impressive fifth place finish at Queens Royals XC Challenge in Charlotte, NC, where Beal was also the first NAIA contestant to cross the line at this event. Beal ran an impressive 24:23.1 which tied a 20 year old school record at the Cumberlands. The record wa previously held by Gareth Wilford in 1996.
