The elements did not make for a pretty day, but the heart of the Georgetown College track and field athletes did. At the Lindsey Wilson Invitational in Columbia, Ky. the men and women finished second. The Tiger women finished with 91 points, second to Campbellsville University's 119. Rounding out the top five schools in the 12 team field was LWC (80), Berea (71) and Spring Arbor (66). Ironically the last two in that list beat GC in weekend one at the Berea Invitational.

On the men's side, Georgetown was nipping at the heels of host Lindsey Wilson. The Tigers scored 98 points to the Blue Raiders 104. Rounding out the top five in the 10 team field was Campbellsville (91), Berea (80) and Bethel (61).

GC's women placed scorers in 10 of the 14 events, while the men had 10 in 15 events. In six of those, the Tigers had one or more athletes pick up points.
