[Cross Country] Godar helps women's cross country to fifth place finishPublished by
Georgetown College women's cross country continued its solid ways Saturday. The Tigers scored 49 points and finished fifth in the Southeastern Classic in Berea, after running a perfect race more than a week ago in Frankfort. Tayler Godar led the way again with an eighth place finish in 19 minutes 38 seconds. The freshman was more than two minutes off the pace of fellow Mid-South Conference runner Sharon Ronoh, a senior at Lindsey Wilson College. However, in the team portion the Tigers edged the Blue Raiders, which finished sixth on the day. University of the Cumberlands had the best MSC team finish taking second in the 10 team race. GC coach Betsy Laski had all her top runners finish in the top 35 as Rachel Ditto, Marissa Hale, Elisha Overpeck and Mary Jefferson were the other scorers Saturday.
