COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Jacob Johnson, Kentucky's Fifth Region shot-put champion out of Bell County, signed an NAIA Scholarship to join the Lindsey Wilson College men's track & field team, Blue Raider head coach Edwin Hagans announced on Thursday.

Johnson took the fifth-region title with a personal-best throw of 48-0 meters before continuing on to the Kentucky State Track Meet where he finished 16th in the shot put with a heave of 43-6.75.
