[Track & Field] Tigers see conference competition in Cumberlands meetPublished by
Georgetown College men's and women's track and field got another look at some of the stiff Mid-South Conference competition this past weekend at University of the Cumberlands meet. The men finished 13th out of 20 teams, while the women were 16th out of 22. The men were 34 points behind the closest conference opponent, while the women were 29.5 back. "At big meets, with so many teams, the points get distributed a lot more," said GC coach Todd McDaniel. "The point is we are getting better, seeing our competition and getting ready to make some noise at the championship meet." Nickolas Slucher's fourth place finish in the 10,000 meter run and the 4x800-meter relay's fourth place finish headlined the men's side.
