[Cross Country] Overpeck qualifies for national meetPublished by
Georgetown College women's cross country team finished third in the Mid-South Conference race Saturday at Shawnee State and Elisha Overpeck qualified for the national race for the second year in a row. The sophomore finished eighth and ran a 19:27 5k to lead the Tigers. GC coach Betsy Laksi's youthful bunch had all five scoring runners in the top 25. Freshman Mary Jefferson, 19:58, and junior Finnja Ramcke, 20:20, finished 12th and 15th respectively. Another pair of freshman, Rachel Ditto (20:44) and Marissa Hale (21:00) came in 20th and 22nd.
