[Cross Country] Cross country starts strong in St. LouisPublished by
Georgetown College men's and women's cross country team
set a new challenge from themselves this past weekend.
"We see a lot of the same teams and so when Betsy (Laski) and I were forming the schedule we thought it was time to expand our runners' experiences," said Tiger men's coach Todd McDaniel. "The Big River Running Early Bird meet really gave us a chance to see new NAIA schools as well as NCAA schools." And they got a chance to see Georgetown. The Tigers face stiff competition inside their own conference with Shawnee State, currently ranked seventh nationally, and University of the Cumberlands (23rd).
